Teddy grinned his most devlish grin, eyes sparkling as he sized Jack up. She should know what she just asked for.

"Soooo..." he said in an oily voice, "Something that takes bollucks aye?"

Teddy spun in his chair, looking at the ceiling with his fingers inter-laced behind his head. "What-oh-what could be a dare that takes bollucks for Jack?"

Teddy suddenly stopped his spinning and stopped with a jerk.

"Gee....normally I'd make you run around naked, but I'm afraid I might lose my nice full stomach of alcohol by the visage of your body. Besides....I always like to start out simple. Don't want to get kicked out of the bar until we've had our fill anyways.....how about you go outside with a hula skirt and a hotdog in your mouth and run around like a chicken for 10 minutes?"

((XD Too late....I remembered that most of the dares I know are either for little kids or have to do with sex.))

Jack rolled her lips in disgust at the thought that Teddy might have been tempted to dare her to get naked. She would have... slaughtered someone. Almost guaranteed.

Her eyes narrowed as she stared at him. She put her bag in her lap and pointed her wand inside, transforming one of her jackets into a hula skirt. She dropped the bag and withdrew the skirt, standing up straight. She quickly attached it and walked over to the bar.

"Hotdog, please."

She stood, unabashed, ignoring her group of friends until the hotdog came. She grabbed it and turned, glancing at them. "I give it two minutes before you beg me for my company."

She strode outside, letting out a mighty rooster crow on her way out.

"Well," Lorcan said as he stared at Jack's performance out on the street, "I suppose our rule of being inconspicuous is now nullified. May we wear our Spectrespecs now?"

"Oh...right," Teddy drawled, looking abashed, "We weren't supposed to be drawing attention to ourselves...."

Morrigan was prowling the back alleys of the muggle village, wishing that she could have a night of the full moon. She was hungry for bloodshed, but it was easier to get away undetected from a murder if you were a werewolf. They were so hard to differentiate when in wolf form...at least for non-werewolves.

A sudden commotion down the street caught her interest, and she creeped in closer. It was another damn drunk. Dancing in a hula skirt with a hotdog in her mouth.

"Strange muggles...." Morrigan thought to herself as she prepared to slink away, but then something stirred in her memory causing her to hesitate.

That muggle looked an awful lot like the girl they had all been ordered to keep an eye out for. Morrigan grinned, her filed teeth sinking into her lower lip and drawing blood. Perhaps she should do some sniffing around....see if there were any magic folk hidden among the muggle rabble.

((Forgot - is it a full moon, or is she in her human form?))

She reached up and took a hearty bite of the hotdog, chewing her portion on big circular motions. The door had been left propped open and she was angled so she could see her little group. Something in Teddy's expression set her a bit ill at ease. "Wha?" she asked through her mouthful of food.

Suddenly, the hairs on the back of her neck pricked upwards and she spun around, swallowing the food. "Is someone...? Nah." She spun back, looking at her friends. "How long's it been?"

"Long enough," James drawled slowly, definitely feeling the effects of the alcohol now, "so much for keeping a low profile....."

"Erm, right...." Teddy said, "Perhaps just a game of Truth, no Dare?"

She could hear her group inviting her to rejoin them. She cast a wary eye about the darkness and then stepped back into the bar, tearing off the hula shirt and shoving it into her bag. She swallowed the last bite of hotdog.

Her mood suddenly sobered by the strange atmosphere outside of the bar. She took her seat and grabbed her drink, downing the drink. "Right. So how we doing this? My turn to ask." She looked about the group, almost wanting to turn the question on Teddy for revenge. But her eyes fell to James. "Right. You, birthday boy."

"'Cause you look the most foolish, that's why," Jack said, putting down her shotglass, pulling her forgotten beer bottle closer. Though it was her idea to go to drink, she did not plan on getting so shitfaced that she couldn't walk herself home.

She looked about at the people near her, the people she would be fighting alongside, the people most in need of a morale boost.

"Tell the truth about your favorite qualities of these wonderful people here with you." She smirked at him.

"Ah, well, that's easy enough!" James nearly shouted, pounding his fist against the table, "I love all you guys!

Jack, I love your straightforwardness, and no-nonsense attitude, yet you know when you have fun!

Twins.....you two are just so...so...so...unbelievably creative, and make us all laugh when tensions are high!

Curtis....you are a strong backbone for the group, and your maturity is unbelievable!

Charles...............................................................you're my cousin, dude.

Teddy.....you....well.....you're like a brother to me, and.....Oh, fuck it! I love you, man!"

James broke out in tears and threw his arms around Teddy, who nearly fell off his stool. Teddy sat there frozen for a few moments, struggling with how to handle this, when he figured better to just go with it.

"I love you too, mate!" Teddy cried, throwing his arms back around James, standing up and lifting him off his feet.

Jack stared at James, wide eyed and appalled. A few people had glanced their way, but no one seemed to care about someone professing their love for their friends - they wanted a fight, not a love-fest.

"Sorry I asked," she murmured, smirking over at Teddy. But Teddy was getting emotional too. Jack threw her arms up. "Am I the only blasted one without an excess of estrogen?!"

"See?!" James cried, releasing Teddy and stepping towards Jack, "That's what I love about you so much! Never afraid to speak your mind."

James reached out towards Jack, but Curtis stepped in, gripping him firmly by the shoulders and forcing him to sit back down.

"I think you've had just a little bit too much to drink there, son," he said between gritted teeth.

((Curtis lurves Jacky! Curtis lurves Jacky! lol, sorry, Peeves little thing with Potty lurves Luna started going through my head while I typed that. Morrigan will arrive soon. I think the silliness is getting to an all-time high.))

Jack began to withdraw, smirking at James, though she had no intentions of being hugged by a slobbering drunk.

And then, Curtis stepped in. Jack quirked an eyebrow, looking at the man with confusion. "Alright, old man? Impervious to fun? I think you should challenge him next James. Make him admit something saucy."

((*evil grin. You asked for it.))

"Gyah, alright, alright," James said, "Truth or dare, Curtis!"

"Really, now," Curtis said, "I am hardly the type of person...."

"Aw, shaddup and have some fun, mate!" Teddy cried, thumping Curtis on the back.

"Oh, alright," Curtis sighed, "Truth."

James grinned mischievously at Curtis. Even in his drunken state, he had a sneaky suspicion about good 'ol Curtis.

"So tell me, my good man," James said, fighting to make his voice very clear, "Is there some lady out there that you have the hots for, and if there is, what is her first and last name?"

Teddy suddenly raised his wand, though not too high so as not to attract attention.

"I think to make this more interesting, we should use the secrecy sensor spell.

Curtis frowned. The tip of the wand would glow a red color if he lied. This was not looking good.

"There is no one," Curtis said firmly, but the wand tip lit up, and he blanched, his eyes darting towards Jack then quickly away again.

"Why, c'mon, Curt!" James jeered at the man, basking in his discomfort, "Tell us her name!"

They boys sounded like girls at a sleepover. Jack began laughing heartily at the thought, nearly wiping tears of joy from her eyes as she pictured them all clad in flannel nightshirts, clutching pillows and trading the names of their crushes. "You lot are the most sentimental band of warriors I've ever met. It's a good thing you have me to open your car door and put my jacket over puddles for you, huh?"

They began harassing Curtis and she rolled her eyes, intending to stay out of it. She suddenly found that his eyes had sought her out, almost asking for help. She shot him a questioning look and then said, "C'mon, you lot, we're getting loud. I'm responsible if you lot get yourselves killed, alright? Perhaps it's time we packed up to go, huh?"

((I'll just have Morrigan cut in, lol....cause otherwise Teddy would argue with you, and James would start pressing Curtis to answer in all his drunkenness....hm....I believe this event will be what causes James to request that everyone not go out on their own. That's why Curtis gets so upset when Jack just trots off to Satan's on her own and picks up a little guest.))

Morrigan slid into the bar, deftly brushing her hair over her face to help hide the hideous marring and one blind eye. Normally she wouldn't care, but the disfigurement tended to attract attention, and Morrigan was going incognito.

She spotted the orange-haired girl she had followed in, and her jaw almost dropped. There he was! Right there! James Potter, out in public and intoxicated! Morrigan smiled. This would be much too easy. She pulled out a magically enhanced walkie-talkie and whispered into it.

"Narcissa, James Potter is here! In a muggle bar! Address is 5863 Whight Drive. Send someone out. He is with the girl and four others."

"You better not be lying...." a cold voice replied.

Seconds later, Morrigan heard the crack of apparating out in the street.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Narcissa immediately ran to the two Death Eaters on watch after receiving the message on the walkie.

"Prince! Tinker! Potter has been spotted in a muggle bar at this address," she said as she threw the piece of paper bearing the address at Septimius, "Go there at once! The werewolf bitch will be meeting you there. I'll gather up those I can to provide backup, and will inform the Dark Lord. Get going!"

((I'll let you pick which Tinker was on watch duty.))

Just as Jack thought there would be no relief for the poor older man, her thoughts were interrupted by a crack from outside. It was the unmistakable noise of someone apparating but, this far into a muggle neighborhood, who would be here?

Her eyes immediately sought out Curtis' as he seemed to be the most sober and the most sane of her group. "We have company."

- - -

Marcie was out in the field doing Ministry work, which was forgiven, as her job was to wrangle in any possible supporters of rebellion. However, this left Oliver to flounder at home on his own, as his hours were often much more regular. Which meant he was left to such duties as watch duty.

Narcissa came in, barking her orders and he sighed, gathering his things and quickly apparating to the address. The apathetic twin looked about, waiting for Septimus as the Prince spawn would surely love to lead the charge.

"Why, hello," Morrigan said from behind Jack, "Having a bit of a party, are we?"

She smiled, revealing her sharpened teeth and her hair fell away from her face to reveal her scarred face and blind eye. Any wizard would instantly recognize the bite of a werewolf. She hoped that whoever had apparated outside would burst inside soon because she was not versed in magic, and she was in her weaker form. She should be able to waylay them for a few seconds, though.

Outside, Septimius was withdrawing his wand, somewhat unsure on whether he should just burst in or case the place first. As much as he liked to pretend, Septimius was not the type that made a good leader. With a significant look at Oliver, he ran up to the door and blasted it aside with his wand. He had decided at the last minute that bursting in would be the better option, surprising his opponent.

Curtis barely had time to register Jack's word when the door to the bar burst inward, showering shards of wood and glass on the patrons.

"LEAVE! EVERYONE RUN!" Curtis yelled, waving his arms to get the attention of the muggles in the bar. That action cost him.

Septimius saw Curtis, and recognized him immediately. Believing him to be the biggest threat, Septimius aimed the sectumsempra curse at his head. Curtis barely saw it coming in time and he dodged, but the spell neatly sliced a furrow into his scalp and the blood poured into his eyes, blinding him.

James fumbled to get his wand out and fell as he rose from his chair, bringing Teddy down with him. Adrenaline surged through his system, sobering him up a bit, but he everything was still a bit unfocused.

The twins rose together, looking oddly serene among the panic around them. Lorcan raised his wand, instantly assuming a defensive pose, Lysander beside him. Together, they would compensate for each other's weaknesses.

Jack froze, her body going rigid as the hairs on the back of her neck stood up at attention as growled threats came from behind her. She did have some alcohol in her, but the past few months had been full of her drinking entire bottles of booze with Vito and then being forced into complex situations. She could easily function on a shot and half a bottle of beer.

She turned, slowly, not wanting to elicit any rash responses and took a step back to put distance between herself and the woman speaking, and to close the gap between herself and her friends. The woman revealed herself and Jack knew they were dealing with a werewolf.

Oliver followed Septimus in, his wand held aloft as he looked about. Oliver was a minimalist, he had no interest in striking down random muggles to cause a scene.

Jack turned, intent on helping the muggles around them, but Curtis was on that. She whipped around in time to see Septimus point his wand at Curtis. Her wand was still in her pocket. She began reaching for it as the dark spell hit Curtis, and Jack felt a flood of anger. No dark spells on her friends without punishment for her - wand or no.

She launched herself towards Spetimus, throwing her weight and fists onto him as she withdrew her wand, though it was the least of her worries to do this right - she just wanted to hit the man first.

Oliver turned his attention to the Potter boy, choosing his priorities. "Incarcerous!"

The ropes which bursted from Oliver's wand began to wrap their way around James, but then Teddy (who was more sober than he had let on) suddenly leaped up and cried, "Relashio!"

The ropes loosened slightly and James shook them off. Teddy stood in front of him, squaring off against Oliver, his eyes burning with anger.

Septimius had not been expecting a physical attack, and went down with Jack on top of him. (a-giggity) As he was struggling to twist his wand into a position where he could hit her with a spell, Curtis suddenly appeared and stunned Septimius, who went limp. (giggity goo)

Morrigan weighed her options carefully, and decided that Septimius was in the most danger at the moment, and his opponents the most distracted. She slunk to Jack's left flank, relying on Curtis's blood-blinded eyes to mask her presence. She leaped towards Jack, attempting to grasp Jack with her filed fingernails, so she could clamp her teeth down on the girl's throat.

((Eddie and I read that third paragraph together and giggled the whole time))

Oliver now had an opponent it seemed. He squared off with Teddy, who was his superior in duelling for certain. But as long as he kept him distracted, all should be fine. "Stupefy!"

Jack had taken Septimus down and spared no chance to hit him - she was intending on sending him home with bruises and a fear of seeing her again, of invoking her anger. He went limp and Jack turned, shouting to the Scamanders, "Evacuate the others, get them to a safe spot and modify their memo-"

Suddenly, someone was bowling her over. She rolled over with the woman, squirming to loosen the woman's grip on her. Jack kicked upwards, scrabbling to point her wand towards any part of the woman's body. "Rictumsempra!"

((Glad you enjoyed it. XD It really wasn't planned, I had just realized what I had typed and Quagmire's voice floated into my head, so I put it in....couldn't help it.))

Morrigan released Jack, snarling animistically as her skin crawled with a tickling sensation. Using a sheer force of will, Morrigan fought against the sensation, and lunged once again at Jack.

"You won't ever defeat us unless you're ready to kill!" she spat as she wrestled with the girl.

Curtis hovered around Jack, pointing his wand at Morrigan, but was unable to fire a spell for fear of harming Jack.

Lorcan and Lysander began to do as Jack bidded, running effortlessly back to back, lest someone try to attack their blind spot.

"Come now!" Lorcan cried above the turmoil, "It's safe over here!"

Teddy blocked Oliver's spell, his face twisting into a sarcastic smile. This boy was no match for him.

"Going to have to try harder than that, boy!" he laughed, shooting a stunning spell of his own at Oliver.

James had managed to regain his feet, and he stumbled towards Jack, banking on the assumption that he could take the werewolf by surprise. The alcohol made him clumsy, however, and she sensed him immediately behind her. Morrigan sprung away from Jack, now targeting James. She slashed at him with her claws, leaving three bloody furrows across his left cheek.

Jack smirked at Morrigan. "You love this don't you - you're tickled pink." Yes, Jack was one of those people who spat out clever little quips during a battle sequence - and you be she rocked it.

"I don't need to kill you. You're already dead inside," and she welcomed the new attack, saying, "Yeah, that's right, come to Papa." Jack caught her and the two immediately began rolling about. Jack hit the woman around her head, using fists and flailing her elbows as often as she could.

Oliver laughed as Teddy's spell seemingly missed, laughing half from relief and from amusement - and he had been worried. "Diffindo!" he managed to aim... before the spell Teddy had shot expertly rebounded, hit Oliver in the back of the head, and knocked him on his face.

Morrigan suddenly left her and sprang towards James. Jack's anger flared and she took a running start, jumping onto Morrigan's back, wrapping her arms around the woman's throat, blocking off her air. She rocked her weight so the two stumbled backwards, presenting the woman to both James and Curtis so they could stun her.

Impatiently wiping the blood from his eyes, Curtis jabbed his wand at Morrigan, stunning her. He offered a hand down to Jack to help her up.

"Everyone okay?" he asked, looking around at the damage done.

"I'm fine," Teddy replied, joining the group and hauling James to his feet, "Suppose we were a bit too conspicuous!" he laughed, looking Jack's way.

"It's not funny!" James admonished him weakly, "It is not funny...."

"We should modify their memories," Curtis suggested, looking down at their fallen enemies, "Quickly before more of them come. Make them think that they were mistaken....we were not here. This place is too close to headquarters for being put under Death Eater radar."

Jack had planned well, and Curtis did Morrigan in. Jack held tight, however, just to make sure. The woman slumped to the the floor and Jack rolled away, sitting up. Curtis held out a hand and she gripped it, pulling herself up and then brushing herself off.

James was mad, understandably. Jack would lay awake tonight, pissed that it was her plan that had gone so terribly wrong. She said nothing but left her group to modify the memories of the Death Eaters. She would handle the muggles.

She found the back room they had all escaped too and stood before them. "Hello, everyone? Look, I know what you just saw was really strange, believe me. I grew up like you, not knowing what this was. These two dashing young lads and I are going to come around and give you a quick once over to make sure nobody is hurt."

She looked over at the Scamanders and gave them a significant look. She moved to the first person and, as discreetly as possible, pointed and waved her wand at them. Their eyes crossed and she patted him on his back, moving to the next one. She felt bad for them, she really did. She was raised a muggle - she saw them as she would any wizard or witch, just someone left out of the joke. She wanted to make sure they weren't feeling attacked.
