| OLIVER LAWRENCE TINKER 18 | former Slytherin | potioneer and arithmancer | Death Eater | Gaspard Ulliel Oliver was born nineteen minutes after his twin sister, Marcie. The twins were born to a more obscure pureblood family; Oswald Tinker's family line had greatly diminished, but his mother, Charlene Flint, came from a much better known pureblood line. The Tinker twins were the only children, and were spoiled. They were raised with the best tutors, being taught multiple languages, instruments, and other fine arts.
Though Oliver and Marcie are twins, Marcie was the leader and acted as an older sister. Oliver was quiet, inwardly focused, and much less sociable. Though the two twins seemed to be a bit cold, Marcie was the better at pretending to being a healthy, happy child. Oliver often shut himself in his room, inventing, writing, and running his own little experiments. Marcie often stressed to him the importance of appearing friendly and sociable, but her lessons were in vain. His sister could observe people, but he observed weakness.
In his Hogwarts years, Oliver found his calling. He excelled in Arthimancy and potions- not only could he use numbers to predict the future, he could brew and create anything. He managed decent grades in the rest of his classes and, with the help of Marcie, was able to retain a decent standing in the social sphere. In his fourth year, he began dabbling in Quidditch, which earned him the approval of his peers he had no interest in.
Once he graduated, he and his sister found a flat in London and he immediately took a job as a potioneer at Slug & Jiggers Apothecary. While his sister was making big money and getting recognition left and right, he was barely scraping up rent money and was unknown. However, his talents were not unappreciated by the Death Eaters. He and his sister both joined, and he has assisted in predicting small occurrences in the future and brewing potions that could be of use. | |
